Automated Form Testing
Do not lose one lead because of a buggy form!
Forms are crucials
Forms are where users take action, making them one of the most critical elements of a website. If your forms are buggy, it defeats the purpose of your website. Although they may have worked perfectly when your website was delivered, bugs can still occur over time.
Why do bugs appear?
At Samurai, we regularly update the third-party software on your website, almost daily, for security reasons. These updates are essential, but they can sometimes cause forms to become buggy.
This issue affects everyone, including large companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Amazon, despite their thousands of engineers.
For example, in July 2024, a security update from CrowdStrike caused a major global outage, impacting Microsoft’s cloud services and grounding flights from several major airlines, disrupting banks, and affecting numerous businesses worldwide.
How to make sure my form works?
Your form may look perfect, but just by looking at it, you would not know if it is buggy or not. The only way to ensure it works is to fill it out and submit it. However, doing this manually every day can be cumbersome.
Even though Samurai checks every 30 minutes to ensure your website is up and running, we would not know if the form is buggy.

- Automatically test your forms at the frequency you wish (daily, weekly or monthly).

First steps
How do we proceed?
-
Identify the Forms to Be TestedFirst, identify the specific forms you'd like to test. If the same form appears on multiple pages, it generally only needs to be tested on one page.
-
Provide Access to the Back OfficeTo understand how the form is built and which technology powers it, we’ll need access to your website’s back office. Please provide:
- The back-office URL/Link
- Admin login credentials (username and password)
-
Choose Your Notification PreferenceYou can decide how you’d like to be notified about the test results:
- After each test run: Receive an email after every test with its results.
- Only when a test fails: Receive an email only when a test fails.
- At your discretion: Skip the emails and check the test logs anytime from your Samurai dashboard.
-
Schedule a MeetingLet's schedule a meeting to discuss the technical feasibility and go over any details.
Frequently asked questions

3 possible ways:
- Each time a test runs: An email will be sent to you each time a test is run with its result.

No, your site doesn’t need to be hosted with us. As long as we have access to the back office, we can implement the tests.

You are free to test your forms manually if you wish. To give you an idea, let's imagine you have only one contact form to test. This will take you about 10 minutes a day, or 5 hours a month. Are 5 hours worth less than € 12 ?
Finally, there are companies that offer the same kind of service we offer. You may want to compare prices. Here are the most well-known ones: BrowserStack and LambdaTest. -
Creating such tests is not a 5-minute job; it takes time, expertise, and several iterations to develop optimized and reliable tests. Therefore, we cannot include this feature by default, but we systematically offer it as an option to our clients during website development.
